I'd like to give students the option to create multi-media projects for assessment, like movies. It'll help if I have a clue how to use them myself.
I arrived home yesterday from a fabulous trip to New York City with my family. While I was there I spontaneously decided to do a mini video field trip. The fifth graders enjoyed it, so I resisted the urge to tell them, "Yeah, well, next time I'll remember it's video not radio, and I'll talk less and edit more and blah blah blah. . . ."
In the spirit of documenting my little movie-making education, I give you Mrs. Van Hoesen's Nine Minute New York tour. (It's actually 8 1/2 minutes but, in this case I've allowed alliteration to trump accuracy.)
Great video. I'm going to NYC in April with the high school choir. I'll probably take still photos, though.
ReplyDeleteI loved the video. Thank you for sharing this with us and with your students. You can take the teacher out of the classroom, but you cannot take the classroom out of the teacher. I knew you would find a way to make this trip into something to share with your students! Well done!
ReplyDeleteI loved getting a glimpse of your trip. Your video was so great. I am sure the kids were excited to get this glimpse too. Nice reporting!
